i am a ford lover, cant say a die hard fan cause im open to other cars aswell and yes including holdens. i want to know peoples opinion in letting say mitsubishi (bits-a-missin) or toyota enter into such events with there own style of V8 supercar. personally i hold a pro and a con about it. PRO. would be good to see a little more competition inside the racing. CON. cant really beat the holden ford rivelry, its been going so long and has always been an enjoyment to watch

lemme know what you think

  1. I use to be a great fan of this brand of racing, however I have become bored with it, with just two car types, I remember when Jaguar, BMW, Nissan, and Valiants as well as others were racing, it was exciting and interesting. Now we have two car types that do not represent anything like what you see in the show room at your local GMH or Ford dealership.

  2. why would toyota use a chrysler engine?

they spend millions of dollars a year engineering the v8 F1 engine, as if they wouldn't just drop 1 of those in to a camry!

  3. the v8 series has to be kept to  ford and Holden the rivalry is legend and part of the appeal is everyone supports one or the other even if they don't follow the racing regularly i am a real fan my husband and i even arranged our wedding to be the day before bathust i never miss a race and will not continue to follow the series if they add other brands. the other brands have their appeal but not in the Australian v8 series it didn't work when they brought them in last time it lost many many fans

  4. To be honest, I've grown a tad bored with the two car race.

I think seeing some foreign talent would be fatastic.

It's V8 supercar, so there likely wouldn't br any asian input, but there's plenty of US and European muscle out there.  Could you picture Jag's and bmw's in the grid?

It would certainly raise the bar of the Aussie cars.

  5. THERE WAS AN IDEA FLOATING AROUND THAT TOYOTA WOULD ENTER THE CHAMPIONCHIP IN THE 2010 SEASON WITH A V8 ENGINE SUPPLIED BY CRYSLER IN THE U.S.A.,I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS GOING A HEAD YET,STILL WAITING FOR MORE INFO. FROM  AN INSIDER I KNOW AT CAMS....I THINK IT WOULD BE A GREAT MOVE....GO FORD FOREVER....
