Im looking to speak with those who are familiar with the A.D.D. symptoms in children and strategies that may help. My daughter has been diagnosis for about a month now, she just recently started her medication. She seems to be improving in her classroom performance and getting her work done. The issue i'm having is once the medications wears off, she gets these crying episodes and refuses to go to bed, nothing like before, i just want her to get a good night sleep before the next day of school but getting her to stay in bed and not constantly get up is the issue. Can this be from the medication, or am i just overviewing things.

I would talk to her doctor.  A common side effect of many ADD medications is difficulty sleeping.  Sometimes a lower dose, or a different med can help.  Talk to her doctor about it.

The meds are a stimulant. I would talk to the pediatician. You may be giving the meds to late in the morning. I wake my son at 5 am give him his meds and let him sleep for another hour or so. My son is on Concerta.
