  1. you need to check your group activity logs under memberships and type in 'invited' or 'added' into the search field- if you have a moderator, they could be sending invites without telling you. restricted membership requires membership approval, and the only way to by-pass that is when some one is adding members or sending invites, period. opem membership does not require approval.

do not set your group to closed (private) it's not reversible and invites is the only way to gain members, however invites are known to have glitches

if your group is open membership- you then need to go to management- under group setting click memberships- click the first edit you see- and sellect restricted- click save changes

  2. No idea what group you are referring to.

You can block people on yahoo Q&A that you don't want answering your questions.

Just view links next to their entry.

  3. You need to change you membership settings to private if you don't want ppl to join without approval

  4. (x*x=your group name)

    Restricted is what you want.

    Save the change!

  5. As a group owner you have total control over members joining and posting. You need to go to management and edit the settings.

  6. Why are you against it? You can never have too many friends......sheesh!
