Other sports for runners?

hi i have ran for about three years competitively with some good performances and times. what sort of sports would help with my training (6 days a week) ?????

  1. Lacrosse and play midfield. You have to run up and down the field and its also really fun: )


  2. Football, practice about 3 hours a day 6 days a week.

Well I cross train to keep from getting injuries when running.  I swim (and poolrunning), cycle, do yoga (great for core), kayaking and dragonboating, and cross country skiing.  I train 3 days a week running and alternate days with other sports.  Do my long runs (for 1/2 and full marathons) on Saturdays and often do races on Sundays.  I do pretty good for a newbie as well (been into this for 4 years)  I am in masters level, and enjoying all these sports.  I thinks its entirely up to you, but all these sports benefit me greatly.

  4. You should try soccer. I know a lot of soccer players that have turned into AMAZING runners. They have the endurance and coordination. You could also try swimming that really helps build up the muscles that you use for running.  You can also have a lot of fun with these sports.
