Ayres Rock now called Uluru is not a mountain.

There are many mountains in Australia.

The longest range is called the Great Dividing Range and includes the highest mountain in Australia. Victoria has the Grampians, South Australia has Mount Lofty and Mount Barker. There are far too many to list here.

anyway... Uluru (no longer Ayers Rock)  is ONE single rock. We have LOTS of mountain in Australia.

I think you need to study geography a bit more.

Otherwise, there are many mountains in the Great Dividing Range and the Australian Alps.

Australia is the flatest continent but there still are some mountains, though none of them reaching the lofty heights of an Everest or The Alps! I have a view from house of the rainforest clad Mt Bartle Frere, the tallest mountain in the state of Queensland.

The tallest mountain in Australian territories is Mawson Peak on Heard Island (though I think Australian Antartic territory may have even higher) but mainland Australia the highest is Mt Kosciuszko.

Well i live in Victoria and we are surrounded by mountains,we have Mount dandenong one of the most popular Mountains in Victoria,we have the Great Dividing Range....

Plenty of skiing at Mt Buller,Mt Baw Baw,Mt Donna Buang,

in the N/W we have The Grampians...

Gees there are so many just with in Victoria let alone the rest of Australia...

And all mountains are just as beautiful as each other,no matter where in Australia you live..

Ayres rock isn't a mountain, its a rock.

Some people might tell you mount kosciusko, but sure it is 2000m high or something, but its really just a hill at a relatively high altitude.

The great dividing range and the blue mountains are also mountains.

We have mountains all along the east coast of Australia. They form the Great Dividing Range. There are other mountains here too. We don't have extremely high mountains but they are regarded as mountains.

yes .have you not heard of the 'blue mountains'? so called because of a bluish haze effect from the plants and trees growing there. It's  not far from Sydney and is in new south wales. Other parts have  equally nice mountainous areas to  explore.

It's not all dessert and beaches in Australia. Incidentally Ayers 'rock' is one part showing above surface of a larger rock formation which runs underground.

it is now know as Uluru the aboriginal name and climbing on it is no longer allowed.
