There are many places to buy posters other than Pacific Mall.

if all else, you could go to an anime convention, which you can buy a lot of other anime products (such as DVDs, Manga, Plushies, etc). The closest one would be fan expo (august 22-24). It costs around $25 for Basic admission, and goes all the way up to $69 for premium admission. Other conventions include: Anime north(May 23-25, 40$ admission),  Doujinka Festival (august 16, $10 admission, unless you have proof that you went to anime north), March Toronto Anime Convention (March 15-16, $10 admission).

there is another convention called Dot-Con, I haven't heard too much of it, but here is the website http://dot-con.com/
