Other than Tivo what are my dvr options?

I have brighthouse and I prefer not to rent a dvr, can I buy a unit without having to pay a subscription fee?

  3. cable and satellite companie give them for free, while you are a subscriber. But nothing compares to TiVo. Get one for FREE here at eBay, if you are lucky.
