Question:

Other than an eye Dr.is there any way to tell if a 6 month old baby has vision problems?

My Grandson seems to make faces and frown when looking at something that catches his attention from a distance. If it is up close he doesn't.

  1. well babies don't start out with an optometrist-I don't believe anyway, but the pediatrician should obviously be checking the child's eyes during check ups and of course if you notice a problem you should mention it to them.  They will tell you if you need to get get further evaluations or work done.

    Also, maybe his eyesight is still developing and he simply has trouble focusing on distant things
