  1. Toothpaste is a good stain remover, spread it on the stain and leave for a while before you wash the garment.

Bi carbonate of soda is a good carpet cleaner, sprinkle it on the carpet before you vacuum.

Vinegar is good for loads of things, use it down the toilet as a cleaner - removes stains

  2. Fabric softener......The best thing for taking off old wallpaper!  The spray on gel doesn't work near as well!  Makes it really easy to peel it off!

  3. Turned Fuze (its a drink) bottles into vases!

Also, try crushing up an asprin tablet and adding a little water to make a sort of paste, then apply to pimples/zits, leave on for about 30 min and wash, or over night if you feel

  4. Vinegar, as well as putting it on your fish and chips, it's also good for descaling kettles & cleaning windows.

  5. toothpaste: also good for stopping breakouts! just dap a bit on the red spots starting to break through at night and gone by the morning.

  6. WD 40 is a wonderful product with a multitude of uses, besides freeing up rusted or squeeky hinges, etc.  I have used it to remove gum, sticky labels, stains, tar, tree sap and more.  Also, it is non toxic, safe for most anything!

  7. Hydrogen peroxide, good for cuts is also good for getting out stains, blood stains, deoderant stains, red wine stains, all kinds of stuff.

Baking soda & a few drops of dish soap mixed in water is good for getting rid of garden pests.

Paste wax for your car is great for waxing hardwood floors, if you want to do the work.  (Careful, they get really slick)

Used bay leaves to get rid of ants.

Just built a wooden storage bench out of an equipment crate (from an equipment delivery at work), mosaic tiles on the front from thrown away slate tiles, part painted with leftover house paint, part stained with left ovet cabinet stain.

Used firewood & made it into a hollowed log for a toad house.  Two actually.

Scrounged rocks dug up at a construction site & made a dry creek-bed in my back yard.
