  1. there are no crops in africa because they don't have the resources like tractors and combines. and they eat the seeds before they can be planted.


  2. Its got a lot to do with the soil and terrain. Usually their soil is dry and clay like therefore the prospect of surplus growth, let alone growth of crops is highly difficult. Another reason is location and lack of effective resources. When i went to Africa for research, the natives explained to me that the unpredictable rainfall was the major factor though that they took into consideration when it came to harvest. Hope this helps
