Question:

Others cannot locate group?

I moderate a private yahoogroup. For some reason, one person does not seem to be able to receive the invitation to join.

When I asked her to for search it on yahoogroups, it does not show up. I believe there is some way to allow the information to be published in the directory of groups but I cannot seem to figure out how to change our settings so a new member can find it. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

  1. As far as I know if it is a closed group, it is not listed in the category, potential members have to be invited.

  2. a closed group (private may mean the same thing) is not listed in the yahoo directory- so that person or anyone will never find it on a search. unfortunately, if it is closed, you cannot change that setting, it's there for good.

yahoo invites have been glitchy for months and months- some get them, many do not and hotmail isn't getting them. the only other way to think of is ask this person for a different mail client and try sending it there
