Otranto????

Question

has anyone ever been to this little town in italy? i am doing an immersion program there this summer, and i was wondering about the shopping. What kind of shopping is it? like the touristy type? or like decent clothing stores??? example?

From what I have researched, I think ou are going to a beautiful place full of history and old buildings.  As far as shopping, there is a handcraft market in late August.  Otranto is quite small so you may have to leave to do your shopping.  There is a Club Med there but I think you have to be staying there to participate.  Check out the below websites, they may help.  Have a great time!

Otranto, a very good decision you took!

Apart for being a lovely town for a summer vacation, is also well located and you can easily going around visiting other towns.

About shopping style, you will get astonished about what you can find ;p

I have been.....is just PARADISE for me....you can find tourists but mainly from the north of Italy and not from outside...and not as crowded as other destinations..
