Question:

Ottawa Money?

I'm going to Ottawa with my Mom and I need to earn some money. I'm already doing stuff around the house (,5 bucks a job,) but I want to know some more ways to make money. I'm 11, by the way.

  1. I agree with Freeside.  An 11-year-old kid can't work under provincial labour laws, but you most likely can get away with some casual labour for a few neighbours.  You could ask if they'd like you to: rake, weed, wash low level windows, sweep front or back steps or decks; vacuum indoors, clean toilets, run errands.  You absolutely must be reliable and trustworthy.  Arrive at "work" 5 minutes before the agreed to time.  Work more than you rest.

    Congratulations on your initiative.

  2. Maybe you can start a dog walking business!

  3. ask the neighbours (ones your parents know) if there are odd jobs around their house that need doing.  Your too young to cut lawns maybe but sweeping driveways, stacking clutter..  people will pay you to do little just for having the will to make some of your own money.
