The West Indies coach, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marlon-Nathaniel-Samuels-c74804, is crucial for the hosts in the ongoing second Test of the three-match series against India.
In the Test match, being played at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, West Indies were 98 for five before rain forced early stumps on Day two.
At the end of the day, Chanderpaul was not out at 20 and Samuels was playing at 21. Gibson said that the 41-run unbeaten stand between the two seasoned players would determine the future of West Indies in the second Test.

Gibson will have all his hopes attached with the Chanderpaul-Samuels duo when the hosts would resume Day three at 98 for 5.
"We are looking forward to the third day. The second day was badly rain-interrupted and that is history,” said Gibson while talking to the media reporters. “The pair at the crease has done a good job for us so far and there is plenty ahead of them. We know
what Chanderpaul can do and he has showed a lot of application in his innings so far," he added further.
When asked about Samuels, the Windies coach said that he is making a comeback into the team and has been good so far. Gibson hoped the 30-year-old right-handed batsman from Jamaica will continue to show the fighting skills he has demonstrated so far.
“He came in at a crucial time and has played well so far,” said Gibson of Samuels. “We expect him to continue. This is a crucial partnership as there is still a lot of cricket left in the match," he added further.
