The Hertha Berlin manager has insisted that it is a must win game against FC Kaiserslautern this weekend and is confident of a win.
The Berlin based outfit is currently struggling in 17th place with a total of 28 points from the 31 games played. The team will face bottom placed FC Kaiserslautern in their next league game at the Olympiastadion on
Saturday, April 21, in a bid to fight for survival.
Rehhagel admitted that the game against Kaiserslautern this weekend is Hertha Berlin’s most important game of the season and is hopeful of a favourable result. He insisted that the players will have to be on their toes for the
course of the game as the club cannot afford any more slipups in the remainder of the season.
“This is the most important game of the season and I hope our lads play this game like second half in Leverkusen. At the same time, although there is so much at stake, they need to remain level-headed,” he was quoted as saying
in a press conference.

of turning the game on its head.
Rehhagel warned his side against complacency and stressed that Kaiserslautern will not gift the game; his players will have to fight for a vital win in front of the home fans.
“I just have to warn that people should not think that, just because we are facing a side who are likely to go down, that it will be easy. They will not gift us anything. We need to be top fit, mentally and physically, to win this
game,” he concluded.
Hertha Berlin were promoted to the Bundesliga last year after they won the second division and the side is now in danger of being relegated at the end of the season. The capital club have to play the likes of Kaiserslautern, Schalke
and Hoffenheim in the remaining three games of the league season.
