  1. Warm salt water rinses...a teaspoon of salt and an 8 oz glass of warm water. Do it 3 times a day till it's gone. If it doesn't go away within a week, see your dentist.

  2. Try and find some clove oil and apply it to the spot that's hurting. It is a natural analgesic (numbing properties). For an immediate relief, you can steep a tea bag and stick it between your cheek and gum. The warmth will soothe the soreness. Also, you can swish some warm water and baking soda. For pain, take some ibuprofen. I hope you feel better.

  3. you may be getting your "wisdom" teeth but check with your dentist.

meantime, either get some baby teething gel or some straight whiskey [ depending on your age ] and rub it on the sore area till you can get to a dentist

BUT GET TO A DENTIST !

  4. floss this area maybe there is some food in there. and then rinse with salt water.

  5. Is it the gum above your teeth? That happened to me a few days ago, and I called my dentist. he said that I should rinse my mouth with warm salt water every two hours, because the gum may be swelling a bit. That is usually caused my improper flossing techniques. Try that, and if it doesn't work, call your dentist, or a dentist. they might be able to help more.
