That was one of the worst wrecks ive seen with the COT other than mcdowell's flip. Hard hits. Especially for Gilligand. OUCH! Post your responses to the lastest caution.

  1. That was a really hard hit for several guys.  Hope Labonte is ok.  He looked like he was really hurting when he got out.  With the old car some of those guys would have been hurt bad.

  2. Yeah that was pretty sick, how in the h**l did Jr, Robbie Gordon and Newman get through that?

  3. I was there at the Centurion Boat Sprint Cup race on Sunday, my bf and I did not get to see the nine car pile up up close, we saw it on the huge Plasma Screen Tv's they had set up on and around the racetrack, that accident happened right at the last turn before the grandstand area, we were sitting at turn # 1 , but it took 45 minutes to clear the track of all the debris. It was some accident, race fans waited anxiously to hear the results of all who were involved in it and poor Bobby Labonte took the hits pretty hard, he's the one who had to be rushed to a local hospital for possible leg injuries.

  4. Man, oh man. That was carnage that I haven't seen since the COT went full time this year. I hope all the drivers are okay. It looks like someone blew up one of the cars out there.

  5. Hated to see #43 involved but was glad to see him climb from the car. Very hard crashing...haven't seen that with the COT...and a 9 car crash at WG is rare.

  6. Definately Hard. Bobby LaBonte is hurting. But yeah, Gilliland, LaBonte, and Hornish got the worst of it.

  7. the big one at the glenn

  8. As bad of a wreck as it was, it definitely showed yet again how tough the COT car is. As much of a beating it has taken through the media, fans and drivers about how tough it is to drive and how boring the races, the safety side of this new car is dramatically better than the old car. With the exception of Labonte limping and appearing to be holding his ribs, no one else appeared to be injured at all. Gilliland's car was destroyed on both ends, and he got out and ran across pit road like he was preparing for a marathon. Labonte took a couple brutal licks and will probably come out of no worse for wear. Blaney took one h**l of a hit and didnt appear to be injured at all... Definitely a thumbs up for NASCAR and the advances in safety with this new car...

  9. Notice is was McDowell again!!!!

  10. Taking Bobby to the hospital...he'll be fine but it may have been more than the infield care center could handle.   Just a cautionary measure to make sure it isn't more than bumps and bruises.
