i went to the dentist about 3 or 4 weeks ago and got about 4 cavaties filled on one side of my mouth.. all on the top, i know they were pretty deep but the dentist said i may feel sensative to hots and colds for 3-5 days maybe up to a week.. well here it is 3 or 4 weeks later and cold things killl me. is that normal? and every once in a while all of a sudden i will feel a pain in thoswe teeth it makes me stop what im doing and grab my jaw. it woke me up twice last night. i dont know what it is?

  1. see your dentist, 'cause that's not normall!


  2. Pain that wakes you up at night is NOT normal, and obviously that tooth has an irreversible pulpitis....and needs a root canal. Call the dentist, and get in.

  3. It could be a bad filling, an exposed or sensitive root, or another problem.

    It is NOT normal. Go back to your dentist.

  4. You need to contact your dentist.  One of the fillings may have been really deep. You'll probably need an x-ray to see what's going on.   Don't wait too long.
