how many people have had an experience with ouija?

something like a sign or something that only that one person you are talking to would know:?

It is just a game.  Period.  It all depends on suggestion, and what you would like to see the board spell out.  Believing in it just gives it power in your own mind, and for many years people have attributed strange things to it, but those who don't believe in the paranormal at all have no fun with it.  I've played with it many times, and still nothing.  I don't believe in ghosts at all, so it always makes me laugh when people freak out when I show it to them.  :)

ouija is a board game that people say when played, u can communicate with your ancesters or rathers unknown dead people

as far as i know, i think this is true, that many people have had an experience with this, and they say that they were able to 'communicate' with ghosts...

maybe this is something we cant explain at this stage because science has contributed very less in this field.... we might be able to figure this out in the far future...

Whether real or fake, here are some things to consider:

1) The premise of the Ouija is to lower your willpower in order to give control over your ideomotor response to an unseen force that you don't know, trust, or understand.

2) Ideomotor response is a subconscious reaction that you don't control. It's actually dangerous to cultivate a subconscious response to muscles you have control over, for the simple fact that you may one day lose control by means of a psychotic episode, where you essentially watch yourself do things and can't seem to stop. That's also an ideomotor response.

Are you really wanting to push an issue such as this?

i got one, its totally fake, u must use like 3 or more people , the more the better, thats because one or more people will use force to move it and make the others think its moving by itself.

its for entertainment thats all.

It's real. and anything out there can come through when using it, so you can never really know what you're getting-I wouldn't suggest using it

Ouija was originally developed as a game to "contact" the spirit world in early 1890s (the late 1800s were a big time for spiritualists). It was only mildly successful until a fellow by the name of William Fuld took over the company.

Mr. Fuld changed more than the board (basically to the one we know today) when he marketed the refurbished game, he CREATED the “mystical” history now associated with the board.

Yes, the whole “spirit imprint” concept was made up as a marketing gimmick (welcome to Capitalism).

Now, don’t get me wrong. The game can still work (as in “move on its own”) via a process called ideomotor action (basically subconscious muscle movement – this is how it can “answer” so many questions - and no, it isn't dangerous or unnatural).

Don’t believe me? See it for yourself: Play Ouija with people who can make it work well, then blindfold them, THEN spin the board about (while your pals are blindfolded). The planchette might still move, but you will get gibberish for answers.

Whether it's real or not, it seems that bad things happen when people use them. My mother and her friends had one when they were in their teens. They onced decided to play around with it at night when having a sleep over just to see what would happen. According to her, they got talking to what seemed to be a "bad spirit", and after a few minutes of communicating with it, the Ouija board went flying across the room and hit the wall. They stopped playing.

You want to hear what later happened that year? My mothers boyfriend (who was involved in using the Ouija) developed depression and a drug habit (and overdosed late in the year and died), another of her friends died in her sleep, cause still unknown, and strange things were happening to people living in their house.

Now, whether this was the result of "spirit interferance" or a psychological issue shouldn't matter as the fact is, the Ouija board is NOT a game, it messes with peoples lives.

The little ouija boards you buy in the store I don't believe work for a second. But the real ones are REALLY BAD NEWS! I suggest staying away from them. I once knew a girl who was into all that stuff and also read tarrot and my friends thought it would be fun. I left there is nothing fun about demonic stuff. I also knew of a devout Christian family who kept finding random Ouija boards in their house randomly. They would burn it only to find another one. They ended up having a priest bless their house and it stopped! Weird!

my mom said it's real, my dad also said so, they are serious when it comes to this. but they won;t allow me to try it

because my mom says she feels sorry for us to be calling the spirits to play, while they're supposed to be prayed so they'll go to heaven fast, instead of lingering around in here.

I've been doing paranormal research for six years now and they are definitely real. I would recommend that you stay away from them, however. I've heard way too many stories about somebody using a Ouija board and contacting a spirit only to find out a couple sessions later that it was a negative entity. Then some scary stuff starts happening. So, I would not mess with them. They are no good. They are a way to channel things you may not want to. Look into automatic writing. It's a much safer alternative.
