I lived in mexico for 5 yrs and during 8 grade the whole school went through this ouija/witchcraft/vodoo thing. and well ouija boards tarot cards, and palm readings were everywhere. one day (it's really weird now that I think about it) everybody stop playing and some kids one some of my friends decided to play hookie. well they go behind the buildings and play the ouija, it was home made, and well one of the girls was possessd. I knew personally and she said she doesn't remember. it was a clear day and then the a dust storm came out of nowhere and went right thourgh the place they were playing one of my friends took her out of school to the church on the way there he said she tried to choke him and that her eyes were wierd.

Nobody really knows what happened in the church the priest told the ones that went with her besides my friend to wait outside what the do say was that she screamed.

There's another story but that's for another time and this one I was there

This is really a question of perspective. Here's what I mean:

Of course the Ouija board is real. It is detectable by all 5 senses.

But if the real question is, does it have any supernatural powers, the answer is almost always, no.

The vast majority of "supernatural" experiences with the Ouija board occur in groups of people- usually three or more. The actual dynamics of what happens quite common.

Think of what happens when a large fight breaks out. Afterward, nobody can remember who started it. Or at least, there are many different accounts of what happened. Even if the fight only lasted a few seconds.

In principle, this is what is happening with the Ouija board. Everyone is adding input into a system expecting it to move. When it does move, it may not move in the direction anyone expects because the ultimate expression of that motion is the sum of all the input. Thus, every person playing may actually believe he/she is not actually causing the pointer to move. It can truly seem to have a 'life of its own'!

But in reality, it is simply a toy that plays upon simple group dynamics for its entertainment value. That is what has made it such a popular object for so long- the fact that it is rooted in simplicity.

Encounters with these sorts of toys can produce all kinds of emotion. Adding a spooky atmosphere and music can heighten these effects. It can even be fun at times. But it's like a magic trick. Often times, these sorts of things are more fun when we don't understand how they work- because then, they can still capture our imaginations.

As a side note, you should know that there are many people who believe that the Ouija board is a conduit for supernatural and even evil forces. Many hold fast to this belief, even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

To this, I can only say that if there truly are evil forces out there determined to do us harm, I think they'd have better means of attacking us than through a child's toy. And- if by some crazy chance that I am wrong, then I still don't think that I would be very scared of any evil force whose power was limited to a board game.

I have never experienced or seen or had one but some of my peers in school has and they had pretty freaky experiences. Too many to tell actually, like one she was just s******g around with it with her mom, and then the door shut and her deceased grandmas picture fell, nothing else.

Okay me and my friends decided to do the OUI-JA not ouiji =] well ok.

We were playing at my friends gaurage We contacted one 2 demons 2 1 spirits.The first demon wanted to do something to my friend. After a couple of days he kept getting hurt You know why cause hte demon hates budist. The second demon was wierd The garuage door was slighlty open. For some reason the light was getting smaller and smaller then a beam of light turned into a shadow half of us saw it.There was this funny time well its not funny. My stupid friend said F you to the demon it pushed him to the ground. Okat couple days later we did the bored agian we didnt know where talken to a demon cause my friends breath was cut off

I have no exciting stories to tell about a ouija board because I played it a number of times and nothing exciting happened.  Actually I found it incredibly boring.  The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It is meant for two or more players so it will not work very well if you try to use it alone.  It has no supernatural powers.  It does not communicate with the dead and it does not contact spirits.  It does not open any portals to the underworld or to anywhere else.  The people using the ouija board make it work through ideomotor movement.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards and how to use them.
