  1. you can always visit to her house and comfort her by bringing flowers and a big get-well card. make posters that say "we love you! hope you feel better!" and that kind of things. visit her a lot for talking and when she is alone or wants a friend

  2. You could also vote her as a team captain.  I am not sure about your schools limitations on the number of players allowed on the team.  If she can remain on the team, she should be a captain.

Flowers with a giant hand made card signed by the entire team are a great idea.  How about a volleyball signed by the team, too?  See if the coach will allow the presentation in a quick pre match ceremony at a home game.  Maybe against your arch rival.

  3. Let her be the watergirl, or laundrygirl. Give her a Card that says "break a leg", oh sorry, too late. Nah, just give her a table and pitcher of water and cups, she will be a good water girl...And you better step up girl, this is your chance to be a better player.

  4. You should definitely bring her flowers and maybe a get well card.  As for the volleyball, put in your second best setter and try your hardest.  Try to encourage your team to make it to most of the practices so you can become a better team and make your teammate (with the broken leg) proud by trying to win or doing your best. Make sure to always help her and try to be there when she needs someone.

  5. well, the answerer above me had a nice idea (volleyball, or huge card signed by the whole team), we actually did this when our team mate was leaving for good, we thought about the signed volleyball (P.S: the ink fades and gets smudged specially if you were going  to play with the ball :S), so we brought a huge card, signed by the whole team, and some pictures we took during our practice and hang outs. well in your case just let the whole team sign ''get well soon'', not ''we will miss you''.
