  1. Unknown.  Jobs that are redundant between the two companies will be the first to be downsized...support services (e.g. janitorial, accountanting systems, HR, etc...).  The fact you are training their staff to use your system means they intend on keeping their staff.  Next question: does one need that many staff members to do function X?  Maybe so, maybe not.  Time will tell....I would put a resume out, no harm done!  (retired IBM exec manager...been there again, and again and again)

  2. Been there and done that. Cover you tail and update your resume.

You are kept up  to date about everything that happens?  Good!

You kept up to date about almost eveything that happens?? Not as good.

You are not kept up to date???    You are about to become history.

I'm not trying to be funny, but this is how it usually works.

  3. Unlike most answers this is realistic.  Don't jump the gun.  Bear down and show your peers and employers that you are the hardest working person in that dept.  Do not be in  such a hurry to take a break, just because others do, stay over past your work time and finish a particular job.  This WILL impress your employer.  Continue in that vein and you will be promoted no matter what job you have.

  4. dont look if anything you will get a promotion well thats what i got

  5. Maybe, maybe not. I've been through it before. If a lot of upper management people start leaving for other jobs, be assured they know something you don't. Don't believe anything they tell you. They will lie to keep from having a mass exodus.
