Our GE Spacemaker stopped heating

Question

Our GE Spacemaker stopped heating half way through a batch of pop-corn. the light,turntable.clock and everything else works. I tapped a tube that looks like it is covered in aluminum foil and it worked one more day, but that's it. Model JVM1442--900 watts
