  1. this happened to me but with a cornsnake i had he was a baby and not big at all he got out he was missing for 2 days we found him in the laundry room under the washer and dryer lol... go look there..thogh ball pythons are alot bigger should be easier to find

  2. Snakes can dehydrate quickly without access to water, and will usually seek out a damp hiding place.

You might try placing some damp towels in strategic locations along walls. If the snake encounters one, it is likely to stay put until you find it.

I also recommend that you purchase a REAL snake cage; aquariums with removable tops are not escape proof. This question is asked here almost every day.

  3. when my ball python got out, i found him in a drawer of my dresser. but like everybody else is saying, look in warm, damp places. like behind the fridge (it gives off heat) or maybe by your computer tower. it could be anywhere :p

    good luck finding him.

  4. get rat, break rats legs, lay in middle of living room, and wait for snake to come.

  5. Look in warm damp places. Check in couch cushions. That's the best place for him to go. But, even with all doors and windows locked, he could still find a way out. Good luck!

  6. He will probably hiding in a pile of clothes or next to something warm and moist. I would first check in the basement by the water heater or in under the couch and inside it.

Ignore guy above... the ball python will more than likely not hunt for food since it was captive for a while. Think of everywhere warm and moist.

Will not be in a cool spot.... Snakes like warmth... :@

  7. Watch out before using your toilets!

  8. he would head for a cool dark area check closets and under furniture.  If youi want to find him get a mouse and put it in a confined space and snake will come out for it.

  9. mine escaped last year, and didn't go very far.. i would suggest checking the room you keep it in first.. check down low..they normally hide in tight dark areas.. mine are in my office and he only went about 4 feet and hid under a bookshelf ( my bookshelf didn't look like he could get underneath, but in when i pulled it out noticed that the trim on the bottom was a little cubby hole in back). i really hope you find it..my thoughts are with you!!

  10. Hello; I am very sorry to hear about your Ball python. :(

Look for dark, enclosed areas. They are often in warm locations, but the times I have lost my snakes; I have found them in 'cool' spots as well. Try looking under furniture, near TVs and electrical equipment, under rugs, near stoves, water heaters, or refrigerators, in/under cabinets, etc.

However; these guys turn up in some of the quirkiest places, so don't leave any stone unturned, so to speak. For example: I found mine under the piano once, my friend found hers in the rim of her toilet, another friend found his in a potted plant, another friend found hers in a chair under a pile of laundry, and my cousin found hers on a book shelf.

Also; do you happen to have cats or dogs, perchance? If so; pay VERY close attention to their behavior until you find your snake. If you see them acting strangely or are seemingly fascinated with something that you can't see, run over there and check to see if they found your Ball python. I found my Kingsnake that way when he got out; luckily I got to him before one of my cats or dogs did.

One thing to keep in mind is that snakes can stay alive indoors for weeks; months even. It isn't too uncommon for someone to lose their snake and find it six months later; so if you can't find your snake immediately, please don't give up hope. :)

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions at all on the subject; please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to assist you. And for what it's worth; I sincerely hope you find him. :)

    Good luck!

  11. trap him put a mouse in a cage that he can get in two then wait he will come soon if you have mice in your house then search for him

  12. I Lost mine the other day,and i have 2 cats a dog and a ferret.

    We put them on lock-down

I Would look in high places suck as Closets,Cabinets,Lamps,And other places like in the couch Cochin's,Dark Places,Clothes Piles,Behind A Refrigerator,Oven,Trash Cans,Etc. You Get the point were to look.
