one assumes it needs repairing or are you asking how to get about without a car?

if money is short then try and note symptoms of the vehicles  problems .any related info type of car etc and ask here for advise. it may be  something you can fix yourselves with a bit of advise. without knowing why and how the  car 'broke' down  nobody can offer any real advise.
