  1. You MUST get him to a vet. PDSA or Blue Cross may be able to help for free. Cats can suffer liver damage if they don't eat for more than a couple of days.

  2. You can always try to call the vet for advice.. Some vets will actually talk to you about it, and others will require you to come in... I know that metacam is for inflammation, or pain... Why did your cat receive that shot?

  3. how old is it? is it new to your house?

  4. Iya if you get housing benefit you just have to get proof and the pdsa will see you and help at no cost just a small donation if you can afford a quid then they are most gratefull i have when i had my dog poorly pawned things to give them 50 quid for the real good treatment even though she died they are good ring them even after hours they have an emergency number good luck

  5. The vet gave your cat and injection for pain (metacam) and antibiotics (convenia)....what were they treating your cat for?  Did they do any bloodwork, xrays, ect ....any kind of diagnostics?  How old is your cat?  If your cat has not eaten or drank anything in 5 days he is probably severely dehydrated and in need of veterinary care immediately.  Most vet clinics have access to a program called CareCredit....it is a credit card for medical expenses.  Please take your cat to a vet, or call around and find a clinic that will see you.  Apply for the CareCredit.  Please do it soon.

  6. Im afraid to say that my dog ended up dying by something like this...

Apparently its kidneys had failed so it had to be put to sleep...

It wouldn't do its business either...  =[

I don't know whether cats have the same symptoms but I would get its kidneys checked out if I were you.

If nothings working with the injections then this could be a possibility!

Sorry your cat isn't very well and no, I haven't heard of any cheaper alternatives..

    Hope this helps! =[    =]

  7. Take him to the vet & tell them you can't afford to pay - there are various means of getting treatment for your cat without you having to starve to do so.

PDSA will often pay for any tratement that is necessary.

Please don't let your cat suffer just because you are broke.

  8. Sorry to hear your cat is ill : (

I'd seek help from someone in that profession.

My cat ran away for like a week, and like they do, he pretty much fended for himself, proving they can actually go without food for a while.

I'm sure he will eat and drink in his own time, even if it is a small amount.

Sorry I can't give very good advice, hope your cat gets better!

  9. ^^ absolutely agree with hedge...explain your situation to the vet, he won't see the animal suffer.

Cats can go a while without eating, but am concerned she won't drink.

    Best of luck.
