Our cruise ship docks at the St. Thomas port and we want to go to St. Johns.Whats our best way to get there?

Take a taxi to the red hook Ferry

Sure, you can take the ferry from Red Hook but there is also one from Charlotte Amalie. Costs more, takes longer, but you don't have to deal with a cab to Red Hook. Longish walk from port to downtown but IMO doable....

You can take the ferry from Charlotte Almalie or from Red Hook. Here is the ferry schedule.

Leaving Red Hook, St. Thomas

6:30 am, 7:30 am then hourly from 8:00 am to Midnight

Leaving Cruz Bay, St. John

Hourly from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm

if indeed you can find a taxi to take you to Red Hook, and not on a whole island tour, Red Hook is indeed the answer..ferries leave ( more or less) on the hour.......depending on how crowded it is in town ( ie how many cruise ships are in) it will take from 20 minutes to an hour to go the three miles.......
