  1. Probably not if she isn't considered full time. Go to bcbs.com to see what independent plans are available in your area. Something to tide her over until she is benefits eligible either at her job or becomes a full time student.

  2. She will not be able to be on your policy but you can purchase a policy for her.

Try using yellowpages.com to search for health insurance brokers in your area.

Don't call your auto and home agent they specialize in property and causality insurance. You need someone that specializes in health insurance.

A Broker represents multiple carriers and can help you sort through all the different insurance companies and plan options in your state.

  3. Most likely not.  But you can go to a local agent, and apply for a private policy for her.  If she's healthy, a low/no deductible plan will likely cost around $200 a month.

  4. Contact your agent (I'm assuming you have a private policy). They can get her a policy that fits her medical and financial situation. It will have to be separate from your and your husband's policy.

  5. It is crucial that you speak with your insurance company because they will know the answer.  However for the most companies, the answer is no.  She is over 18 and not a full time student.  I have heard there are companies that will let you cover individuals that live with you but the cost is very high.
