Our economy today.

Do you remember the year 1979 when there was a strike on gas? There were lines about 3 blocks long and the gas was only 80 cents a gallon. There were also fights because people wanted to get gas first then anyone else. By 1990 gas was $1.60 and we would complain that the gas was high people don’t remember how good the gas prices were. Doing all this research I realize how the economy has risen. We are in the year 2008 and the gas prices are now $4.20 a gallon and people are really complaining and a lot of people don’t want to do anything about it. If we would get together and protest about gas prices because its hurting the rich the middle class and especially the poor. I can just imagine by the time I’m 21 years old the gas prices would be sky rocket and we would all have to ride bikes to get to our destinations. I think the government is taking to long to solve this problem and instead of trying to make war they should be trying to stop the war. Instead of saying this is for me say this is for everyone and maybe that way the economy would get back to normal to when everyone can drive to there destinations and still have extra money for a family vacation. So take a close look at the gas prices and lets start doing something now and not 10 years from now.

  1. There was a time when there was a shortage of gas. But now there's no shortage. The prices keep going up but the gas stations in NJ NEVER (and I mean N-E-V-E-R) run out of gas. As long as we keep pouring that money in their pockets, they'll come up with the gas.
