  1. Whether you plant now, in the fall or next spring, it doesn't matter. What does matter is how you repair it and the level of work you want to put into it. The bast way to repair your lawn, is to dig out the old, dead grass, maybe about a half inch below the surface of the roots and place screened topsoil to match the grade. After your prep work is done, you're ready for the finishing work. To go this best, go to your local hardware/ garden store, maybe Lowes or someplace like that, and purchase lime, fertilizer and a grass seed that will match, at least somewhat closely to the grass you have now. Place the fertilizer and lime on the fresh topsoil, and be generous, but not crazy. Next, place your grass seed on those spots. And finally, take some fresh straw/ hay and place it on those points. Water a little each day and within 5-7 days, you should see some fresh grass poking through the straw. Hope it works!

  2. Not much rain, well you could try dancing wont bring the rain but will help keep you fit. Now the lawn well I'm no expert here but I know that there are some grasses that do well with little rain/water. I would suggest you look for these as you can't do much about the weather.

    Hope your still dancing,
