  1. if it's a closed group or adult, it wont be in the general directory-

    management- under group settings click description and appearance (on home page description (edit) <-- click the edit) scroll down to Listing Type and check Listed in Yahoo! Groups directory- click save changes

    it will take a while for the directory to update this
