Maryland has mold exclusionary clauses in all homeowners policies as of 2002. Secondary to roof leak, water seepage, and initial shoddy construction we found out less than a year ago we were mold infested--record breakingly. Worried about be labeled as an uninsurable home we did not file a claim. It was recently brought to our attention that we should consider filing a claim as we have coverage for loss of use of our dwelling. Our property loss, and reconstruction/remediation is HUGE! What if anything does the loss of use cover? Specifically does it cover packing, moving, and storing our belongings? Does it cover our rental living space? Utilities? Reinstallation of Mobile shelving? Architectural fees or any building constructions costs associated with the roof/basement water damage and late to discover secondary mold?
HELP! My partner has to use his entire retirement account to pay for all of this horrendous nightmare
