I have to redecorate and choose carpet and curtains etc. This would be nice for most people but I have no creative gene. Any suggestions on how to choose colors and types of curtains and pictures and carpet without having to hire an interior decorator that I cannot afford.

  2. Use all neutral colors for the walls. The same color throughout the house would be best. Get a feel for the house, recoupe mentally and physically, take your time with accent colors, do it slowly. Clip pictures from magazines of furniture, go online to http://www.benjaminmoore.com/  to get ideas of colors. If you rush to get your home settled chances are that you will have to repaint. As for carpets keep them light as well.

  3. paint your house beige, then wains coat it(you can get this at a lumber

company) wains coat is 3/8 in, thick light red ceder ply wood(4ft x 8ft)

cut it 3ft tall & 4ft wide, use finnishing tacks & nail itto the wall.

do this in the living room, the halls, & the bed rooms ( optional) then get a strip of molding board that has the thin brass strip going down it,

& nail it at the top of the 3x4ft light red ceder paneling.

paint the door posts chockelate color or light brown.
