Our kitten fell, what should we do?

Our kitten fell 12 ft. and landed on his feet (he jumped through the upstairs railing) but now his nose is red and tinged in blood. He is purring and seems normal but we are worried. Should we do something? We have a vet appt for tomorrow.

IF KITTY CAN STAND AND WALK WITHOUT WOBBLING, HE IS OK. IF THEY CAN EAT AND DRINK, HE IS OK....IF THEY CAN FOLLOW YOUR HAND WITH THEIR EYES, HE IS OK.

WHEN CATS AND KITTENS FALL FROM A GREAT DISTANCE, IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR THEM TO LAND ON THEIR FEET AND ALSO TAKE IT IN THE CHIN AND NOSE.

PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF TEETH ARE NOT LOOSE SO THE KITTEN MIGHT ACCIDENTLY SWALLOW THEM.

I think it would probably be okay since it is acting normal.  Maybe it skidded its nose when landing.  Take it in tomorrow to be safe.

ok you've been wise to make an appt. for tomorrow

clean his nose with hydrogen peroxide not alcohol it will sting

make sure he is comfy for the night

Cats purr when they are injured, he might be in a lot of pain. Could you get to an emergency vet right now??

Hold some ice to his nose but be sensitive and careful, don't push hard on his nose.

Like fifteen million props for making an appointment with your ve!! I'd say that is the best thing do do in the "long run." For now, just don't let him bleed all over the place, if he'll let you, try to stop the blood. Maybe confine him to one room. Make sure he has access to his food and water.

it is a bit comfy. when you said that he landed on his feet.

but the nose !! I am nit sure , as cats are really clever in hiding pain.

since you are going to the vet tomorrow, try to keep your eye on him just to make sure that he is normal 100%

if you can check his temperature, do this, but after a while , this will let you know if something is wring and you can not see it .

Clean his nose with warm water socked Gauze ( I do not like Cotton my self) but facial cottons are ok :)
