You can get a broad leaf herbicide, it will kill all the broad leaf plants and leave the grass.  But if the grass is less than 50% of the green, you would be much better off tilling and planting a new lawn.  A lot of factors go into this decision.  1.  it is likely it is too hot now to start from seed, so wait until fall or use turf,  2. If you have a sprinkler system,  you would need to lift the sprinklers before tilling so a new lawn may be more than you care to do.  3. A new lawn for seed takes a lot of time the first year, a lot of it is standing around with a hose.  Are you ready for that.  4.  If you do plant a new lawn, be sure to add a lot of compost.  I got mine free from a horse stable, but leaves will work well also.  Organic matter will encourage deeper root growth and a healthier lawn.
