Our pool ring is soft pvc and there is a sticky residue on the ring. We have tried all kinds of cleaners, ?

We are worried about causing damage to the pool. We have used Goo b Gone, Simple Green, Bleach. Went to pool stores and they had us try Stow Away, Natural cleaners.Nothing seem to work. The resdue seem like baked on glue it is hard & sticky to the touch, but can not scrach it off with finger nails. Help please

you might try hot water then scrub with a pumice stone

You might try this on a very small spot that would not be noticeable, clear PVC pipe cleaner.  It is similar to the purple primer but with no color.  Really not sure the reaction to the soft PVC as I've never tried it but have used it to clean PVC pipe and it works great.
