Our school is doing hairspary for our play?

i love hairspray and really want to be in it, but i dont really sing too well. everyone gets a part. who should i try out for?

try out for a dancer. they usually hold seperate auditions for dancers and singers. ur still very involved and i know hairspray has alot of dancing. as long as ur good at that, loud, and strong, you should do well.

Try going for one of the Corny Collins Council Members

i.e Lou Anne , Becky , Noreen/Doreen

They only have to shout their name and sing with other people (Y)...

If you don't feel you sing really well, you can easily try for one of the ensemble members. They have some singing, but it is with other people, so you won't feel alone and you will get to be a part of the show!

Judging from your name, you're a fan of Tracy...if you want to go for her, start singing with the CD like suggested above and get some friends who are also interested in music to help you. If you are confident in your voice, you will sound much better than another actor who is unsure of themselves!

well as far as i know, all of the major characters have singing roles, so go for it if you want to! but if your not comfortable, then maybe try out for a smaller role :)

Okay, practice you're singing with the soundtrack and then star singing it alone, only your voice. After a while if you think you sound pretty good like the person you want to sound like, try out for Tracy! I'm sure you'll do fine!
