Question:

Our tax credits have been stopped and being investigated?

Hello, recently we called to tell them about our income details for last year and to tell them that we have a baby who is 5 months who recieved DLA. Apparently they pay you more for that, which we could do with. We recieved a letter today saying we are not entitled to ANY tax credits, no child tax credits either. The letter doesn't even state that they overpaid us. They are taking back what they gave us this year. We called them today and one of the operators was very rude. Then when my husband called them, they said the head office is investigating it. I am thinking for that exactly? Our income has changed but only by 1k and we are still under the threshold of £25,000.

Any ideas?

I would rather they give me NOTHING but we are not in a position to pay them £1300 back which they haven't paid us this year. It is less than that!

Thanks
