Our wedding photographers camera?

Our wedding photographer had this camera and we can't figure out what kind it was. It looked like a regular camera but had metal around it and was able to move the actual body of camera any way she wanted while the flash stayed on the top. It was like a cubics square thing. Does anyone know what it was?

What you saw was probably a flash bracket like these http://www.custombrackets.com/Scripts/de... They are popular since you dont have to flip the bracket like other brackets, you keep the flash in the same spot and the camera moves semi-independantly.

You can find them for many cameras.
