We just bought a house and I want to pain walls.

Is there an easy way to match the wall texture?

Here are some pictures of the wall.

  1. u should ask a perfeshional about this... because i have no idea how. my room has alot but my bedroom is alright dont worry about it

  2. It's pretty easy to match a "Knockdown" texture. Get a bucket of drywall mud, some cheap sponges and a wide spatula.

1 - mix the mud thoroughly, and thin it to be about sour cream texture

2 - Use the spatula and spread a thin, broken layer of mud over a LARGE area - splotch it on in random-sized patches. Cover the smooth spot, and at least a foot of wall around it. Make the mud patches about as big as the random patches on the wall.

3 - With a damp sponge, dab at the mud and pull it up into random points all over the surface, like frosting.

4 - let it dry a bit,  then scrape the points off to match the rest of the wall.

Prime the whole wall, then repaint.
