Out In Chil all set for the John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 1
The most promising entry for the John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 1 is the three-year-old black and white dog, Out In Chil. Besides a single fifth position, his performance during the current and previous two months has not driven down the third position. Out In Chil won the Dave Lawrance Golden Crest – 1st Semi-Final on 30th June, 2012 at Poole over 450 metres. He broke from the second gate and did not wait for monolpolising the lead and thus finishing the race in 26.78 seconds. Proud Patsy was the quickest to him after racing for 26.86 seconds. He missed the race by the margin of a length.
The black and white hound was then dominant in the Dave Lawrance Golden Crest Final on 7th July, 2012 at Poole over 450 metres. Following his former style, he broke into speed pretty soon and concluded the race in 26.99 seconds.
He defeated the runner-up by a negligible margin of a short head’s difference.
The drilling session on 16th July, 2012 at Peterborough over 420 metres has enhanced his chances of being the first one through the wire tonight. The three-year-old settled the distance in 25.56 seconds.
