Ok, so ever since I was 16, every once and awhile I have an out of body experience. However on three different occasions I have seen a dark shadow. The first OOB experience i had, which was the weirdest, I was outside of my body looking at myself lifted off the bed tilted slanted head highest in the air and my legs about a foot off the bed. I then turned and saw this very large shadowy figure that looked like it had an arm out lifting me. It had no real physical apperence at all, but when i saw it I freaked out, and suddenly it was like i woke up but I was still not in my body and i was trying to run to the door, however I was running at a very slow motion. I ran into my speaker and finally i got to the door but the k**b wouldn't turn. Then all of a sudden I actually woke up (It felt like i just fell onto my bed) ran into my speaker and got out of my door. All exacty the same way. Anyone understand this, or have a similar experience? What is the dark shadow?

  2. Woah, is it a vacuum sounding thing? Anyway, I can't relate like that. I have felt "the fall" feeling, ya know, when you get yourself together (heh). but go to eckankar.org and it's pretty much the religion of the ancient science of soul travel. From the way you're explaining it, it really sounds like soul travel. That's unless you already know about that.

The shadow, however, not so sure. I'd say try talking to it. Ask it "why are you here?" I'd think they'd be there for a reason and it means something. Probably not something bad.

  4. At 16 or so, there is a typical development called "God Obedience."

That the first obe was the "weirdest" indicates your moral development and awareness is winning.

The "shadowy" nature is perhaps symbolic of your unresolved energy re "moving on up," which is what obe is...a step beyond lucidity in dream awareness.
