Hey i normally run a 5.16 mile when i was in 6th grade but i haven't ran over summer (stupid idea) and now I'm running with the high school kids because it is more advanced then my middle school runner but they did a 6 mile today and they do 6mile + everyday but this is the first time in running in like 3months and i did a6 mile but it was Horrible time i came back one of the last and the guy on the team thats really bad he gets 6.30+ mile time is his best on a GOOD DAY i came back with him.. it was so embarrassing but now on I'm going to keep running with high schoolers because i really need to get in shape instead of run with middle school witch will only run like 1 mile a day.

What do you think I'm committed. I'm suppose to be the best in district this year and evry1 is counting on it...

also during that 6 mile im sorry to admit but i had to walk and also the question here is to see if i should just run with middle school or high school my plan is

  1. Well, as you now know you can't just not run then jump right into it and expect to pick up where you left off. And I think maybe if you try too hard to pick up where you left up you could end up injured.

So... if you can run with the middle schoolers and ease back into running, push yourself but don't keep pushing  yourself expecting to do as well as you did months ago right away, it may take a little time. I'm not sure how long, maybe a month or less. Then when you're back up to full speed, can you switch over to the high schoolers group?

  2. Turn that pain into rage.  Get angry.  Getting angered helps me get better and faster times.

Anger= no pain and you work hard

  3. haha, i'm out of shape too!

i just from not running for a month.

    so practice is gonna suck.

but what i've been doing, trying to do, is slowly get myself back into shape. i mean, i should be used to running 5 miles at a tempo pace... i'm not anymore. :P

so, i'm trying to run like 1,2,3 miles a day at a jogging pace. then take it up tempo. then go a little longer, faster.

basically, you can't expect yourself to get back into the groove in a snap. so slowly get back into it.

i didn't really mean to ramble on with this.. but oh well. :P

  4. Wow. That was really stupid not to run over the summer, especially when you knew you were going to be running with High Schoolers.

    STUPID! :P

  5. just work as hardas you can it sounds like your doing good
