is the LA environemt bad there where the school is?

Oh my goodness, none of these campuses are bad at all!

You're going to school in a big city so you're going to have the usual but that's nothing out of the normal.

I have friends who live and go to school at the FIDM campus in downtown LA and they say it's not bad at all!

They actually love it because of all the hot shopping spots (the fashion district), cute cafe's and the awesome museums!

I would personally LOVE to live in San Diego (who wouldn't?!?) With the Gas Lamp District with delicious restaurants, trendy shops and cool spots to see (plus the beach) I would love to live there!

I understand your mom's concern, my parents were concerned too but when they saw how much I excelled when I moved to LA, they realized this was the best choice I ever made.

I wouldn't knock living in a big city just yet. Coming to the FIDM campus in both LA, San Diego, or any other location for a visit with you and your mom. I think you may find out it's not as bad as you think.
