  1. California, good climate, overall the economy is pretty good, and the coast is great.

  2. Florida

  3. Charlottesville, Virginia. Ranked the top "small city" (population 44,000) in America several years ago. There is a lot of history, and Albemarle County and Charlottesville have both great private and public schools. There is enough city so that you don't feel in the middle of no-where (there is a mall and several shopping centers), but there are a lot of farms and wooded areas. Lovely place.

  4. Delaware, because its the best shaped of all the states on the US map (although California does look like a gnarled fang full of flesh pieces)

  5. That would depend on your personal criteria, what kind of work do you do, what kind of leisure activity you enjoy, your lifestyle, etc. There are many good places to move a family, if you like the beach, you'll love Florida but hate Colorado. If you like the mountains, just the opposite. Decide what you enjoy than pick a state that fits.

  6. Laredo, Texas.  You want be but just a couple miles from your home country.

  7. If I had to pick anywhere, and believe me I've been to every state because of my job, I'd pick North Carolina, the winters are mild, and the people there are the friendliest folks I've ever encountered. It's one of the few states where you can pull over on the side of the road, open up the hood of your car, and in mere moments someone will pull over and see if you are ok. Race or ethnicity doesn't matter, everyone is like that for the most part. Oh and by the way, I live in Ohio. (can't convince the wife to move.)

I'd have to disagree with the folks saying Florida. Florida is overpopulated and crowded. Everyone there is from the midwest, or the New York City/New Jersey area. Florida is New Jersey with palm trees.

  8. Eugene, Oregon rank pretty up there!! look it up

  9. The question should be: "of all the countries in America."

America is divided in countries, not states, bubbles

  10. Brevard County, Florida lots of jobs and A rated schools.

  11. That's impossible to answer as it depends on what your family is like.  (Don't go to Eugene, OR......it's "hippyville."  I bought a tee shirt in Eugene.  It says "Eugene, OR  We're all here, 'cause we ain't all there".  LOL)

  12. That depends on what the family likes, needs or wants. I live in the Appalachian Mountains in Southwest Virginia and happen to think there is no place on earth more beautiful. The problem is if you are looking for a busy life and lots of things to do it's not here. Now we can drive 45 minutes to Kingsport Tn and there is everything there. We are about 3 hrs, away from Dollywood and

find a job here. But a job that is in Kingsport is doable....nice easy commute and not too much traffic until you get there.

For whatever reason you are moving....it might be a good idea to put that in your question. We are also in the bible belt here. Not a lot of bars ....some dry towns and counties but like everyplace there is still ..drugs. Can't escape that anyplace I don't think.

TN has a better cost of living. Look at some places and their Chamber of Commerce..that will tell you what is in that town and that may help you. Good luck. Miss Mary

I have lived in a few places so just ask me if you have a question. Not Florida, too many Mexicans, Cubans and old people unless you are rich enough to live in South Beach or something and jobs are scarce and they pay c**p, old people still have to work to make it, I guess. I agree with the one guy saying NC...I lived there for years and they are really nice...in the mountains though near Asheville and Hendersonville...on the outskirts. People are nice, lots of jobs and it's still in these lovely mountains.
