  1. my freshman English teacher probably did. He was the wackiest guy ever, but I learned so much from him regarding writing,  reading, and I developed such a love for writing and grammar in his class,, thats what i want to do with my life. He also had such a great sense of humor. I can't enough about him. Not only did he keep a tight rein n class, and expect better than our best, but he also knew everyone, and managed to make jokes and laugh at and with everyone. But I think his out-of-the-boxness is what i learned the most from. I learned that normal doesn't have to be the only way, sometimes its cool to be crazy.

  2. My PE teacher who started teaching me when I was 15 through to 18. She was young and could relate to her students well which is definitely a must for a teacher.

She provided me with some brilliant advice and support through some personal issues and I could always talk to her - not just about these issues but just general relaxed chat which was nice.

I think she had such an impact firstly because of her personality and her encouragement towards me to continue doing what I loved, but also because I had a passion for PE and she taught it brilliantly and showed me how to pursure my sports.

    I wont ever forget her!

  3. We had this senior teacher who taught Bates class and her name was actually Mrs. Bates lol but everyone says she is soo mean and strict and a super hard class to pass, and it was required for us, but any how among entering her class her work was tough but she was so sweet and understanding and caring and she helped me through her class and taught us soo much, she impacted me by making me feel smart and that I could do her work which was hard, but with her help I got through it and actually got a B+ in her class...

  4. Miss Quant, Modern History teacher in high school, always strode around in mini-skirts, encouraged us to think for ourselves, tried to open our minds to the world around us.

Mirna Cicione, Italian lecturer at uni - brilliant, compassionate, always encouraging, accommodating, honest and candid.  Demanded high standards of work.

  5. My most influential teachers have been around while I was in high school (like right this very second). And this would have to be a tie, between Klander, my Band teacher, for keeping me sane through music, and encouraging me to continue playing, and for giving me a place where, as a timid little freshman, I felt completely safe. And Ms. MacIntyre, my English teacher from freshman year, for giving me reason to trust her, and never ever breaking that trust.

  6. Mr McCaullay...3rd grade...he ridiculed my name and distroyed my self esteem for years to come.

  7. Ms. Styslinger. My HS drama and Brit Lit teacher. She was amazing

Dr. Schmidt. My college sociology professor. She was brilliant
