Out of one ingredient can I use this instead?

I have a recipe for berry muffins and it asks for 3/4 cup milk. Prob is I am all out can I sub some plain yogurt and add baking soda for my acidc? There is already baking powder in it (1tbsp).

  1. I would just use water in place of milk.


  2. I would dilute the yogurt with a little water and use it or use applesauce.

  3. I think just adding the yogurt instead of the milk would work.  Yogurt is acidic too.

  4. What kind of yogurt is it? Might be too thick.

  5. Using the yogurt will work just fine, you don't need to dilute it even though your muffin mix will be a bit thicker, just watch your cooking time.

    I have done this before and it made a nice rich muffin.
