Question:

Out of the Marines and into the Navy...?

I am currently in the Marines, and am deciding whether to join the Navy in a year when I get out... Will the switching process be easy or difficult? Will I lose my rank? What is most likely to happen as soon as I join? Sailors seem so much happier than Marines, does that mean life is better? Where is the first place that I am most likely to be sent? Are you Navy people really satisfied? Would you do it again if you could rewind time? Thankx!

  1. Some people have a difficult time switching and for others, it's pretty easy.  As far as where will you go, that completely depends on your rate, rank, and where the navy needs you.  Like any other job out there, you have people that are happy and satisfied and you have people who are regretting life.  I had a great time in the navy and enjoyed most of my commands.
