  1. Clubs don't help improve your game over time.  Perfect practice does.  The best thing you can do is video tape your swing once every couple visits to the driving range, getting face on angles and target line angles.

They are both fantastic golf clubs, but it all comes down to what is visually most appealing to you, and what feels the best throughout the swing and in the impact zone.

If you had to pick, the i10 or G10's are best, and when you get down closer to scratch, the S58's are a can't miss.

Some of the best players in the world don't use blades nowadays.  Some still use the old Ping Eye 2's, like Tim Herron.  It's all about you as an individual.  If you have any other ?'s please visit my website and feel free to contact me - www.freewebs.com/egolf.

    Thx and good luck!

Oh, and whatever u do, don't ever waste your time at an indoor golf store that has a simulator.  Demo clubs at a facility where u can actually see your own ball flight.  If you like technology, request a launch monitor so you can figure out your launch angle, clubhead speed, ball speed, rpm, as well as your ACTUAL ball flight.  Simulators are junk in my opinion.

  2. golf digest gave them both a Silver award in their latest gear review.  They did comment on their apprehension that people would gravitate more towards the i10's because of the success of the g/i5's (rightfully so), even though the S58's are also really good clubs.  The S58's are also about $150 more, which doesn't help their cause.

try 'em both at a pro shop.  if money isn't a real issue, go for the ones you really want.

  3. It all comes down to personal preference. You need to decide for yourself which clubs feel like they make better impact and give you better control.

I would never recommend buying clubs without the opportunity to try them out first. Go to a store that has a simulator where they can get you properly fit for the clubs. Try both types and decide which one feels best.

  4. a spelling lesson, then the S58's. It will do you good. The i10 is a little to forgiving for your handicap.
