Hi

Ok something is not right. I first started taking Clomid after trying to conceive for 3 years in Jan Feb and march this year and fell pregnant in April which ended in an early miscarriage. The reason for me taking clomid is because my partner has low sperm count, i ovulate fine on my own. I had my progesterone checked each month while on Clomid like i was supposed to and it varied between 40-60. Now i am back on the Clomid this being my 2nd cycle and out of the blue my progesterone level was only 4 and i know i had the test done a week after i KNOW i ovulated so am wondering whats going on?

Also i was due on my period yesterday or today and have had period pains for the last 3-4 days, i only ever get period pains maybe the day before! I did a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative so can anyone please help me?

Many thanks in advance.

  1. Is it possible you miscarried due to low progesterone?  If so, your doctor may be able to put you on some suppositories so if you get pregnant again, you already have it in your system.  My doctor did this with me and low and behold, that month I fell pregnant!  It won't help with getting pregnant, but may help with the pregnancy being viable.

Have you guys tried IUI?  Because of low sperm count, that may be a good option.

  2. sorry to hear you're going through this, you should def. talk to your doctor about this drop on progesterone since a good level will help you maintain your pregnancies, and there are progesterone supplements that you could take, you can read more about progesterone levels, and ask doctors online for free for advice, try this website, FertilityTies

    good luck!
